I'm Sebastian Swire
Welcome
My work now is highly selective. I advise on questions of service, operations, and identity, often in environments where reputation, standards, and long-term trust matter more than short-term results. I take on only a small number of engagements each year, choosing those where clarity, character, and coherence are at stake.
Much of my experience has been shaped by the worlds of luxury hospitality, travel, and technology. I have worked with firms listed on the TechTrak 1000 and Fortune 500, guiding teams to act with foresight and integrity where brand and guest experience intersect. I remain fascinated by how service evolves under pressure, and by the simple truth that polish without substance never endures.
Alongside this, I continue to advise in the education space, helping individuals and institutions navigate academic and admissions pathways. Here too the principles are the same: detail matters, structure matters, and outcomes should last beyond the immediate moment.
My perspective is anchored in Asia, but the questions I pursue are broader. They concern how organisations preserve character while scaling, how systems can be designed without losing humanity, and how space, time, and trust, the rarest luxuries of our age, can be protected.
This site is both an introduction to my work and a place for reflection. You will find essays here that explore culture, service, and the shifting meaning of luxury. They are not written for fashion, but in the belief that ideas shape practice, and that practice shapes reputation.
